About the Facilitator
Carlos Castañeda, born in the small town of Delta, Colorado, spent his childhood working in the beet and onion fields of Rocky Ford alongside his family. As the director of Grupo Tlaloc Danza Azteca, Carlos is dedicated to educating the community about the traditional ways of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwestern Hemisphere through art, song, dance, music, language, history, and philosophy. His work emphasizes both cultural and spiritual aspects. Carlos has conducted workshops for all age groups, focusing on Indigenous concepts with clay, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for Mesoamerican traditions.
