Imagine yourself as a silhouette—a representation of your emotions and experiences. Write a poem or memoir piece that delves into the emotions that define you. Explore how these emotions contribute to your understanding of identity.

About Art Facilitator Nancy Viera

Nancy Viera is a Mexican American author from Denver, Colorado. She is the author of a memoir, The Grief and The Happiness, and has written three poetry collections, Silhouette, Chicago and You and Serendipity. She is the host of City Silhouettes, a local artist showcase and belongs to the Colorado Poets Center. Nancy writes both in English and Spanish. She has been an Ofrendas Workshop Facilitator with the Latino Cultural Arts Center and her work has been showcased at the Denver Art Museum.


Nancy Viera, a Denver, Colorado-based Mexican American author, has penned the memoir "The Grief and The Happiness," along with three poetry collections: "Silhouette, Chicago and You," and "Serendipity." She hosts "City Silhouettes," a showcase spotlighting local artists, and is a member of the Colorado Poets Center. Fluent in English and Spanish, Nancy's involvement with the Latino Cultural Arts Center includes serving as an Ofrendas Workshop Facilitator, and her work has been featured at the Denver Art Museum
