Men and Boys Only

Join us on May 15th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for a transformative workshop for men and boys (ages 16+) at Hijos del Sol!

Facilitated by Doug GoodFeather of the Standing Rock Lakota Nation, this workshop delves into the rich history and cultural significance of dreamcatchers. Originally crafted by the Ojibwa people of northern Minnesota and Canada, dreamcatchers serve as a symbol of protection, filtering out negative energy and fostering positive dreams and thoughts.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the dreamcatcher embodies a complex web of stories and philosophies, akin to a spider's web in its design. Explore the art of dreamcatcher making, discovering its intricate creation process—from the wooden hoop to the sinew string that forms its iconic web. But this workshop offers more than just craft; it's a journey of growing through adversity, offering strategies for growth and resilience.

All supplies included along with a light dinner.
